Tropenmuseum

Tropenmuseum

One of the largest museums in Amsterdam, the Tropenmuseum is part of the Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen (Dutch Museum of World Cultures), and is one of three big ethnographic museums in the Netherlands. The museum houses 175,000 objects, 155,000 photographs and 10,000 drawings and paintings. It’s an incredible space that houses collections for many areas that were part of the evil Dutch empire: Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia & North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
