Yes it’s touristy and a bit cliche, but can you really say you’ve been to Venice if you don’t ride a gondola at least once? You don’t have to film a TikTok or swing your selfie stick around - you can just enjoy the moment.

Cruising around the canals, you're guaranteed to fall in love with this city. Piazza San Marco and the Basilica are must-sees, as well as the Doge Palace, Rialto Bridge, and the “Bridge of Sighs”, named after the sighs of prisoners who would cross the bridge on their way to prison. 

Then, catch a ride across to Murano for a glass blowing tour, or admire the cute, colourful, totally Instagrammable fishing village Burano.
