Digital Accessibility Statement

Commitment to Accessibility

At Generator, we’re committed to making our digital spaces inclusive and welcoming for everyone, regardless of ability. We’re actively improving our website to enhance the experience for all users and to align with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which requires compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA.

Compliance Status

staygenerator.com is currently partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. While many areas meet accessibility requirements, we are working on improving others.

Scope of the Audit

The most recent accessibility audit was conducted in June 2025 by Crafted, a third-party web development agency, on behalf of Generator. The audit covered:
  • The homepage
  • A representative content page
A full audit of all templates and components is planned for Q1 2026 to ensure broader compliance.

Known Accessibility Issues

Based on our audit, the following issues have been identified:
  • Missing or unclear focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Invalid ARIA markup and non-standard roles
  • Insufficient colour contrast in some text and interface elements
  • Inaccessible modals and popups without proper focus management
  • Elements that are not keyboard accessible
  • Missing alt text and descriptive labels on interactive components
  • Inconsistent or improper use of headings and duplicate element IDs
  • Video content missing captions or transcripts

Limitations and Third-Party Content

We aim to make the entire site accessible but acknowledge the following limitations:
  • PDFs: Some downloadable PDFs may not meet accessibility standards. We are reviewing and updating these as needed.
  • Third-party booking engine: Our booking journey uses Mews technology. While we select partners committed to accessibility, some elements may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. We continue to work with them to improve this.
  • Videos: Most are hosted on YouTube and include captions, but not all are complete or accurate. We’re reviewing content to ensure captioning is up to date.

What We’re Doing

We are actively addressing the issues identified in our audit, with a goal to resolve the most critical items by Q4 2025. Our efforts include:
  • Applying accessibility principles in design and development
  • Embedding accessibility training into staff onboarding
  • Keeping pace with evolving WCAG standards
  • Partnering with accessibility experts for annual audits
This is part of our ongoing commitment to making staygenerator.com inclusive for all users.
