Paramount Hotel is a New York City landmark located just steps from Times Square. Constructed in the French Renaissance style by Thomas W. Lamb in 1927, the building reflects the theatrical character of its neighborhood. The bustle of the street disappears as you step inside - with its two-story lobby, reflective fireplace, dramatic lighting, and rich textures, it sets the stage for a hip, indulgent experience. Recently updated but retaining its historical charm, the Paramount Hotel is standing out – as the only hotel near Broadway NYC with genuine personality. 

Kind of a “no brainer” to take this iconic hotel with us on our Generator journey.  While making sure to keep its rich character - we are giving it the best parts of our Generator DNA in order to transform this into a social driven, loud and welcoming community hot spot (with some kick-ass parties & events, of course). 

What’s the job? 


  • To be present at the Door/Reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested 

  • Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner 

  • Keep track of guest luggage in the baggage claim area and ensure that luggage is delivered to the appropriate guest rooms 

  • Arrange mail, message and parcel delivery to guest rooms in a timely manner 

  • Inspect for and report damage to hotel property in public areas and guest rooms 

  • Inspect public areas and grounds for safety and security issues and report issues 

  • Respond to guest requests, complaints and concerns with diplomacy and tact 

  • Coordinate delivery of services with housekeeping and food and beverage operations to ensure guests enjoy the highest degree of satisfaction with their stay 

  • Ensure the bell closet and bell carts are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis 

  • Assist guests with transportation needs 

  • Ensure your areas are kept clean and stocked with supplies at all times, including public spaces. 

  • Assist other departments as needed (i.e. Housekeeping, Valet, Front Desk, etc.) 

  • Maintain a safe working environment 

  • Perform other related duties as necessary 

  • Assist other departments as needed

  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and guest driven  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication experience, both verbal & written 

  • Flexible and able to work various shifts, ability to work in high pressure situations 

  • Hospitality and Customer service. 

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with people. 

  • Enthusiastic, punctual, and dedicated to the job. 

  • Able to deal with a high traffic, high activity environment. 



  • Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality industry  

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time 

  • Must be able to move throughout the property with ease 

  • May also be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 

  • Position may also require regular lifting of up to 75 pounds
