Based in NYC with additional locations Chicago and Los Angeles, Café Integral is opening a stand-alone café in the Generator Hotel in Dupont Circle in Washington DC. Café Integral aims to bring exceptional Nicaraguan coffees to the forefront of American coffee culture. With complete vertical integration, Café Integral’s approach stems from the grower’s perspective and sees the coffee through from shrub husbandry to the moment the beverage is served.

Our rigorous work at origin and commitment to the cultivation of coffee is at the core of our foundation. We source coffees from four of Nicaragua’s finest regions; known for their characteristic depth and balance, but also for their dynamic and complex profiles. The relationships formed here are close, familial, and involved; they represent a spirited exchange that allows us to grow together.

Our espresso bar aims to present our coffees with the same distinguished craft and consistent excellence we display at every stage, all the while breeding a sense of warmth and community that is at the core of Nicaraguan hospitality.

We are looking for great professionals to join our team as a Barista at our Coffee Bar located in the Generator Hotel in Dupont Circle.


Prospective candidates should be passionate about coffee and a self-motivated with the capability of working with little supervision. Must be courteous, possess outstanding customer service and superior barista skills.

Demonstrate high standards of coffee preparation and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume cafe while providing friendly and professional customer service.



The Barista will be responsible for the following during his/her shift:
  • Adhere to Café Integral’s policies and protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work space to facilitate efficient and speedy service.
  • Learn and demonstrate thorough knowledge of coffee offerings and capacity to inform customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure Café Integral’s brand is properly reflected by keeping a well maintained, clean, well-organized and stocked coffee bar in line with visual standards.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products and equipment.
  • Prepare specialty beverages while maintaining quality and standards as well as correct product preparation.
  • Demonstrate initiative with routine tasks.
  • Assist in training and development of new staff.
  • Open and Close shop with diligence.


  • Must have Certificate of Safe Food Handling
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as specialty coffee barista
  • Energetic, approachable, pleasant personality and a passion for hospitality
  • Calm and focused demeanor
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Flexible schedule – available to work full-time or minimum of three days per week, weekdays, weekends, open and close shifts
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to climb stairs
  • Experience with La Marzocco or equivalent espresso machines.

This is an hourly position.
