Nitsa

Located upstairs in the legendary Sala Apolo club in the El-Poble Sec neighbourhood, Nitsa was established in the mid-90s and quickly become one of top dance club destinations in the city. That reputation stands firm 25-years later. What’s so great about Nitsa? First and foremost, it consistently attracts in-demand, floor filling DJs (In the month of writing the likes of Jeff Mills, Tiga and Ellen Allien graced the booth) and intense, sweaty vibes are pretty much guaranteed.

Macarena Club

Good vibes abound in this intimate ex-flamenco tablao in the Gotico neighbourhood. A small-room club that occasionally hosts big-name DJs, Macarena makes the most of its minimal (80 capacity) space, attracting an up for it crowd with quality techno and house sets.

Razzmatazz

Spread over five distinct spaces, Razzmatazz is all things to all clubbers. The Razz Club is home to indie rock, Lolita covers electro, disco and Italo, you’ll find urban sounds at Fuego and Pop Bar does exactly what it says on the tin. House and Techno fans are best served by The Loft in Room 2 every Friday and Saturday. Expect an impressive programme of big-named headliners.

MOOG

Expect tight and sweaty underground vibes in this legendary club off Las Ramblas. Upstairs plays host to poppier sounds while downstairs delivers some of Barcelona’s best techno and house nights. It’s easy to see why MOOG’s reputation among the city’s dedicated clubbers far exceeds its modest size.

Pacha Barcelona

Pacha Barcelona’s Port Olimpic site is known as ‘Little Ibiza’ and pulls off the Balearic vibe pretty effectively thanks to its beachside location and sea views. Like the original Ibiza super club, Pacha Barcelona feels upscale but accessible. The music is equally on-brand – a diverse but mostly pretty commercial mix of techno and house.
