These Are the Gigs to See in London This March

It's a good month — well, it's always a good month for gigs in London.

Your gig radar will be blinking like crazy if you’re anywhere near the Big Smoke this March. There’s loads of stuff to see. Like Hackney-based electronic artist Antwerp, who’ll be at Birthdays on 2 March – if you like music that’s richly cinematic but also really fun and danceable. Fans of reverb-soaked minimalist pop might want to check out the wonderfully named Cigarettes After Sex – if you’ve ever wondered what the lovechild of Mazzy Star and Low might sound like, they’re playing at The Lexington on 7 March.

Then, on 8 March at Electrowurkz, ex WU LYF members will enter the stage with their latest project, LUH, which sounds, funnily enough, a bit like WU LYF. Speaking of new projects, a couple of Odd Future members will be at KOKO on 9 March with their soul-infused outfit, The Internet. Also in town that month is Grimes, who’ll be playing her experimental brand of Canadian pop at Brixton Academy on 10 March. Last but definitely not least, alt-rock legends The Jesus and Mary Chain will play your favourite songs from Psychocandy at Kentish Town Forum on 11 March. Get booking!
