Articles // Venice // Arts & Culture Check out Sigmar Polke on the Grand Canal 18 Apr 2016 On the Grand Canal in Venice this month you can find a retrospective of the late German photographer and painter Sigmar Polke. Throughout his prolific career, Polke produced a crazy amount of paintings, drawings, photographs, films and installations – almost 90 of which you can find on display at the new exhibition at Palazzo Grassi, spanning from the 1960s to 2000s. It goes a long way to underline his influence on art in the latter half of the 20th century, inspiring everyone from Richard Prince to Julian Schnabel. Go on: feed your brain with knowledge and art.
