The More Festival delivers creativity and partying to the City of Water.

This summer, artists, designers and craftspeople from around the globe will come together in Venice to showcase their work at the 57th edition of the Venice Biennale.

The Biennale attracts thousands of culture vultures and collectors each year, the smarter arriving early for a party of epic proportions.

For the fifth year running More Festival will showcase an exclusive lineup of parties and art events on San Servolo, an little island huddled between the Venice Lido and the main city. The island has worn many masks during its colourful history - from sanctuary for Benedictine monks to asylum - but it now serves as a creative hub for art and cultural events, including More.

The artwork for this year’s festival poster (bottom of page), by ‘gentleman artist’ Jean André, was unveiled at a rooftop party at Generator Paris, in early April. It was an affair made memorable by copious amounts of banging tunes and cocktails.

The lineup for the four-day More festival includes Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Polo & Pan (top of page), whose hotly tipped debut album, Caravelle, will be released this spring.

A standard weekend ticket to the festival provides access to all More events between 8 and 11 June and grants the ticket holder use of the festival shuttle service, so they can explore Venice by day, then island-hop to the best party in town.

If there is time to sleep, check out the accommodation at Generator Venice, on the waterfront of Giudecca island. Once a warehouse, this high-end hostel, features original wooden beams, mosaic floors and chandeliers that complement its contemporary design. You can choose from luxurious private double rooms or dorms of up to sixteen people, with deals on group bookings. It’s the perfect spot for you and your friends to crash after a night on San Servolo.

Head to the More festival website to check out the full line up of electro and dance music playing in Venice this June, and to book your tickets before it’s too late.
