Going Out in Hamburg

Not sure where to go out in Hamburg? Just follow the tempting neon lights down to St Pauli. Hamburg’s red light district promises a wicked good time, and it doesn't have to be sleazy…well, unless that’s what you’re after. As well as sex shops and strip clubs, there are plenty of rowdy rock bars and clubs where you can dance (or headbang) the night away.

Looking for something a bit more sophisticated? Hamburg has plenty of trendy cocktail bars and discos, perfect for sipping freshly poured drinks with a more refined crowd. 

Plus, there’s a wide choice of quirky, independent Kinos showing indie, international films and blockbusters alike, often in original versions (just check the language and subtitles first - especially if your German is limited to “ich liebe dich”).
