Cinemateket

About a three minute walk away from the hostel is Cinemateket – the sleekly-designed Danish Film Institute that regularly screens art house films (don’t worry, they never get too obscure) and hosts plenty of film festivals, events and talks by the kinds of people who’ll make you feel smarter after listening to them for fifteen minutes. They screen tons of stuff in English, ticket prices are reasonable and there’s even an elegantly understated restaurant inside. Plus, the film/bookshop does a mean job of convincing you to get your shit together and replace that hideous sitcom addiction with films that actually stimulate your brain.
