We love exploring the cities we call home through your eyes; in this Insta-round up, we discover the Copenhagen’s meat-packing district, Kødbyen.

Kødbyen (literally, ‘meat town’), situated on the edge of central Copenhagen, has become an answer to the question every major city faces: how can you party all day and night without disturbing the residents? This is the Danish capital’s clever solution.

A hot spot for hipster bars and pop-up restaurants in Copenhagen, Kødbyen’s small shopfronts are filled with some of the most interesting places to eat and drink in the city. Everything stays open until well into the evening when the crowds move across to popular late-night establishments such as Jolene and Baggen.

On weekends in summer, the large carpark becomes a vibrant market of food trucks, makeshift cocktail bars and tables packed with hungry locals. Make sure you arrive with an empty stomach as you won't want to miss the treats you will discover here!

In the first of our Instagramable Copenhagen series we uncover carefree Kødbyen: where sunny days sipping Aperol Spritz meet long nights of amazing music.

Here are our favourite pics of Kødbyen in Copenhagen. Make sure you tag us @staygenerator and #GenLove to be included in our next article!
