Events in Dublin

The biggest event in Dublin? St Paddy’s Day, of course! Deck yourself out in emerald green and join the crowds celebrating the patron saint of Ireland with a boozy, five-day bender featuring parades, crazy costumes, marching bands, and gallons of Guinness.

There are plenty of other events going on in Dublin throughout the year, though. You can jig along to traditional folk music at Tradfest in a variety of cool venues like churches and old jails.

Then there’s the International Film Festival, the Dance Festival, and the Dublin Fringe (Edinburgh’s cool little sister) which packs an artsy punch with comedy, spoken word poetry, circus performers, cabaret shows and much more.
