We've only gone and done it again! Voted for by the loving public, Generator have been awarded Best Youth Travel Accommodation 2019 at the Global Youth Travel Awards.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (13 November 2019) - Generator, the award-winning, experience and design-led accommodation group which has disrupted hospitality across Europe and the U.S., has been awarded ‘Best Youth Travel Accommodation 2019' at the Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTAs). The announcement was made at the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) which took place in Lisbon on 22 - 25 September 2019.
This is the third time Generator has won the prestigious award, having been awarded the title in 2016, 2018 and now 2019. The Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTAs) formally recognise outstanding performers in 14 fields of international youth travel and reward WYSE Travel Confederation members and other stakeholders in the youth, student and educational travel industry who make an outstanding contribution to the industry.

Alastair Thomann, CEO of Generator, commented, “This is a testament to our fantastic team and really speaks to the strength of our brand. To win this award yet again – voted by the public – confirms our leading position in the market, especially considering the exciting place the industry finds itself in at the moment. Our goal is to build on this momentum, reaffirming our position as pioneers in this space”.

Now in its 29th year, the WYSTC is the leading trade event for the global youth, student and educational travel industry. Since its inception in 1992, youth and student travel professionals have been gathering annually to trade, network and take part in seminars and workshops.

With properties in some of the world’s most exciting cities including Dublin, London, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin, Venice, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rome, Madrid, and Miami, Generator is an industry disruptor that offers design-led spaces, amazing food and beverage options and comfortable accommodation. Generator appeals to forward thinking travellers who want to explore the rich heart, culture and life of the vibrant cities they are visiting. The new merger marks a momentous milestone in the brand’s history and future.
