Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe

Like a lot of Hamburg, this building, known as the MKG, took a hammering in WWII and some of its collection was lost, but what survived and has been added over the years is a very conclusive collection of contemporary design, textile and fashion. The collection includes many pieces by Wolfgang Joop. Don't wear socks with your sandals. Or do, depending on what's trending.
