Barca an der Alster

Hamburg is called the harbour city and all Hamburgers have a touch of the salty dog about them. The girls wear their hair in tight ponytails so it won't get blown away in the wind and the men wake up each morning with fresh beards. You can see the city on foot, sure, but if you want to fit in with the sea-faring locals try a boat. At Barca an der Alster, you can hire row boats, sail boats and even peddle boats that look like the speedboats out of Moonraker.
