Kunsthal Charlottenborg

charlottenberg

Take a stroll along Nyhavn and you’ll quickly notice a seductively stately, vine-wrapped brick building to the right of the canal. That’s Kunsthal Charlottenborg: a 17th century palace that’s been transformed into an art gallery and event space home to some of the city’s most intriguing art happenings. It also encases a badass art book and zine store, a cute little café and a courtyard so charming it miiiiiiight make you wanna puke. Even if you just aren’t in the mood to switch your brain into high-art-interpreting mode at the gallery, go to the bookshop. You can easily get lost in the impressively massive zine collection—and you’ll probably walk away with some weird tiny books you didn’t even have to blow your budget on.
