Wellcome Collection

medicine-man-wellcome-collection-London-Place-of-Interest

The upstairs is where they keep Sir. Henry Wellcome’s extraordinary collection – the worldly entrepreneur amassed over one million medical objects, stuff like Napoleon’s toothbrush – but the changing exhibitions downstairs are the reason people keep coming back. The Collection’s exhibitions are always excellent, covering topics like sex, death and disease with a curatorial spirit that’s academic, dark and downright perverse. And it’s free.
