Our money’s on Diwana, which claims to be the UK’s oldest South Indian vegetarian restaurant. Unlike much Indian food, which is often heavy and rich, they serve paper-thin pancake dosas with a light potato filling. It’s cheap (about £7 for a main) and you can bring your own beer.
