Caffè Rosso

caffe-rosso

Campo Santa Margherita is a wide square in the Dorsoduro area – a necessary step on the road to Piazzale Roma and the train station. Close to Venice’s most renowned universities, it’s usually crowded with students and customers of the little neighbourhood market. Of the many venues here, our preference goes to Caffè Rosso, for its retro decor and bohemian tradition. But you can choose another one or, even better, start a “giro dei bacari”, a full – as much as possible – tour of the bars around. The complex language of this pilgrimage consists of only three words: cicchetti, ombre, spritz. Find out their meanings at your peril.
