Ristorante Da Crea

al-storico-da-crea-1

The Redentore (Redeemer) is a feast to give thanks for the end of the terrible plague which killed thousands of people in 1576. So, on the third Sunday of July, Venice reminds itself how life can be a many-splendored thing: fireworks are launched, a traditional regatta takes place, and Giudecca gets connected to Venice by a bridge of barges, from which you can easily fall after ingesting loads of wine with friends.

Da Crea, situated on the opposite side of Giudecca, is the right place to be on that day. Try some sarde in saor and other typical fish recipes, while leaning on the balcony looking out over the laguna.
