Moderna Museum

Moderna Museet is situated on the island of Skeppsholmen, reachable by ferry from Slussen or by foot from the Ölstermalm district. The museum is one of Stockholm’s best galleries, featuring permanent art by Dali and Picasso, with great contemporary work too. Descriptions of the art are in both Swedish and English, and the chronological order of the exhibitions presents a clear progression of art over time. It can take quite a while to get through the entire museum, so relax in the café when you’re finished and take in Skeppsholmen’s beautiful views.
