Gamla Stan

Gamla Stan, or Old Town, is the charming little medieval town most frequented by tourists. It's one of the most well preserved medieval towns across Europe. You can stroll through the cobblestone streets and rest for a coffee at one of Sweden’s best boutique cafés. There are a number of places to visit including the Royal Palace, Stockholm’s Medieval Museum and the Nobel Museum. It gets pretty busy on weekends so the best time to have a look around would be during the weekday if you’re not so fond of crowds.
