Experience The Seven Deadly Sins At A Free, Outdoor Cinema Season

CCCB’s summer season is a homage to lust, gluttony, greed & more.

The Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona is a gallery, research centre, space for debate and teaching, and all-round cool place, located about 30 minutes' walk from Generator Barcelona

This summer – alongside a searching exhibition about representations of Africa – they’ll be hosting Gandules’16 - Gas Natural Fenosa, a season of free, outdoor, late-night screenings of films. As you might tell from the title, it’s sponsored by one of Spain’s largest natural gas companies – all the more fitting that this year’s theme is the Seven Deadly Sins.

Curated by Spanish film critic Desirée de Fez, each film takes one of the seven deadly sins as its theme. For sloth? Dazed and Confused. Sorrow?  Don’t Look Now. Pride? Tommy Wiseau’s unintentionally hilarious b-movie The Room

One of the most interesting choices is Roar (greed), a recently re-released film about  a country house over-taken by lions whose production resulted in the injury of 70 cast and crew members. CGI, there was not.

Gandules’16 runs from 9 - 25 August on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10pm. Entrance is free.
