Paris has been the ultimate fashion capital for over 200 years, and nothing beats the vibe during Fashion Week. The city comes alive with shows, parties, and performances that turn up the energy during those hectic catwalk days.

Plus, with some of the best food in the world to keep you fueled, there’s no better place than Paris. London or New York can feel so vast that their fashion weeks struggle to make their mark on the city–but the fashion spotlight transforms the French capital. From the throngs flocking to the unrivaled luxury of Rue St Honoré in the West to the underground fashion raves that pop up around the vibrant Northeast, the atmosphere is unlike any other. Plus, with some of the best food in the world to keep you fueled, there’s no better time to experience Paris in all its glory.

Walk the City of Lights

Paris is more than manageable on foot. A stroll along the River Seine is essential, but if you’re looking to do it the French way, head Northeast.

Parc des Buttes Chaumont

Parc des Buttes Chaumont is the ultimate hangout spot, featuring cute lakes, chill lawns, and a cool Indiana Jones-style temple perched at the top of a winding path—perfect for a stroll. It attracts a younger crowd, making it the ideal spot for a picnic or sipping on a bottle of cheap French wine—only a couple of euros at the local supermarché. Grab your friends and enjoy the vibe!

Parc de la Villette

Parc de la Villette is a sprawling green space on the city's outskirts, hosting a lineup of cultural events and open-air film screenings all summer long.

Canal de l’Ourcq

Canal de l’Ourcq is one of Paris’ hidden gems. Vintage shops, cafés, and bars aplenty line the waterfront, all with stunning views and an edge that more established fashion haunts lack.

Eat Your Life Away

If you go to Paris and don’t eat some of the best meals of your life, you’ve done it wrong. For traditional French cuisine at its very best, head to....

La Marine

Near trendy Canal St Martin, you’ll find La Marine. This bistro offers some of the best steaks you’ll find—at a price that won’t leave you skint. It’s worth it to dine there, for sure. For something lighter, there’s ...

Marché des Enfants Rouges

For something lighter, there’s this heaving market with food from all over the world and it’s unmissable. And during fashion week, it’s also where you’ll find some of the world’s most beautiful people. It’s the ideal place to grab lunch, kick back, and people-watch the Parisian way. (Top tip: The Bento boxes at the small Japanese restaurant tucked away at the back is one of the best you’ll find in Europe.)

CAFÉ DE FLORE

Café de Flore sits on a picturesque corner of a well-known boulevard, where you can soak in the beauty of Parisian architecture while enjoying your coffee. They’re known for their delicious French classics—it's what they do best and what keeps people returning.

Attractions

While the better-known Musée d’Orsay and Louvre can become extremely busy, Paris offers endless cultural alternatives.

MEP - La Maison Européene de la Photographie

La Maison Européene de la Photographie has some of the best photography exhibitions in the world!

Institut du Monde Arabe

Institut du Monde Arabe is a vast cultural hub offering an insight into France’s complex and convoluted relationship with the Middle East.

La Bellevilloise

La Bellevilloise is an Arts & Cultural centre in the 20th District of Paris. It serves some of the best coffee in Paris along with a dizzying array of art exhibitions, film screenings, dance and musical events. It’s one of the more relaxed and experimental spots in the city.

Paris After Dark

While the postcards might make Paris look sleepy, the residents know otherwise. This is especially true during fashion week when you can start the night with drinks at one of Paris’ many bars.

Khayma Rooftop

Kayma Rooftop at Generator Paris has a cool rooftop bar in the city. A laid-back and stylish terrace featuring hanging seats, electro DJ sets, and, best of all, stunning views of the Sacré Coeur.

Bar Ourcq

On chillier nights, head to Bar Ourcq along the Canal for cheap pints and great views. If you’re after something wilder, Saint-Denis just outside Paris’ ring road is full of DIY spaces and raves.

Syphax Café

Syphax Café is a great bar that has live performances and is good if you’re after cheap drinks and small bites.

Alimentation Generale

Alimentation Generale is a bar that transforms into a club, featuring a wide range of nights from electro vibes to Afrobeat music. However, some of the most fun comes from the various parties that swirl through the city, so be sure to hit up the bars and after parties - you won't regret it.

Located just a 15-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from Gare du Nord, Generator Paris offers comfortable, well-designed and affordable rooms to make your time in Paris a good one. Our centrally located hotel will make commuting to and from shows a breeze and you can continue the fashion week fun at our Khayma rooftop or club!
