Just call it the KW. This art institution is symbolic of all that's good about the contemporary art scene in Berlin. Built from the remains of a GDR margarine factory, the space has no permanent exhibitions and places an emphasis on innovation and a rapid artistic response to trends and politics. Opening nights are a combination of a fashion show, rock concert and rooms full of people you would definitely swipe right for.
