Like dancing? Like films? Like the thought of those two things combined? Cinedans Dance On Screen Festival could be the festival of your dreams. A four-day international film festival in the heart of the city, it features short- and full-length dance films, documentaries, retrospectives and all manner of interactive installations. This year’s festival will serve up roughly 60 films from all over the world. There’ll be readings, debates and workshops for both professionals and amateurs, so who knows, you might end up brushing shoulders with the next Martin Scorsese. The festival sees the ideal dance film as “a true synthesis between the two media of dance and cinematography”. It sounds original. It sounds fun. You won’t see films like this anywhere else, that’s for sure.
